Introduction About University
University of South China (USC) was established in 1958 as Hengyang Medical College in Hengyang later in 1959 being renamed to Hengyang Institute of mining and Metallurgy. In 1979, it was renamed to Hengyang Institute of Technology, in 1993 Central South Institute of Technology, in 2000 a merger between HMC and CSIT took place thus making its current Chinese name Nanhua University and in the year 2007 it finally translated its Chinese name into English thus being called University of South China today.

University of South China is located in Hengyang a medium sized city of Hunan Province, half-way between Guangzhou and Wuhan being around 2 hours G-train ride from Guangzhou and almost the same time from Wuhan.
University of South China has International Students from all races and creeds studying MBBS here.
Living Conditions For International Students
International Students will be given a 4-sharing room to live in with all the basic facilities like bed, table, chair, cupboards, television, air-conditioner. Etc. However, the beddings are to be bought by the student themselves and the bills for usage of electricity are to be burdened by the student him/herself. Kitchens are available to the students for cooking. Attached washrooms and/or public washrooms are available.
Aside from 4-sharing rooms, 2-sharing and single rooms are also available but in a limited number.
Deadline to Apply: End of August every year.
Deadline to Register at the University: Between September, 12 and September 17
Any student who fails to register at University of South China between the time mentioned above or on the Admission Letter will be considered as giving up his admission. Scholarship Details
